Twitter is a social media platform where you can broadcast micro messages to your Twitter followers. But did you know that you can actually on advertise Twitter? Yes, you can. If you live in the United States, you've probably seen a Twitter ad or two.
If you're like most people, you're probably wondering where the ads could possibly appear on the micro-blogging platform. Twitter ads can either appear on the left-hand side bar or the right-hand side bar. They could also appear on top of the news feeds, like the way Facebook ads are integrated into the news feeds. Twitter ads have the word Promoted below them.
Personally, the fact that Twitter will be expanding it's ads to non- Us markets is amazing. I think this is a great foot forward and the way to go. Not only will this help Twitter expand, but it will attract more users form all over the world making it something that promotes diversity, which I believe all forms of social media should already be doing. Hopefully, more social media sites and mediums get inspired with what Twitter is doing and also think of stepping into this direction.
Twitter will be expanding its ad network to include 35 countries in Africa, Europe and Middle East. Twitter enjoys 80% of all advertising revenue on advertising on mobile devices. In the first six months, Twitter reported revenues reaching $503 million.
