Since it's release last year it is now in the hands of a few thousand lucky "Explorers". They look like regular glasses but with the added power of the internet to take with you wherever you go hands free! This sounds like a brilliant idea of a very useful internet tool in theory, yet despite it's usefulness it seems to have very mixed reviews from some users. Let's talk about both the benefits of this hands free useful tool of technology and it's reviews from some of it's users.

Perhaps you'd enjoy the simplicity of taking a picture just by saying "take a picture" without having to take out your smartphone, tablet or camera. Perhaps you're in the kitchen and find yourself cooking a dish that you're not too familiar with and need the recipe for it, now you can browse for it and be able to view the recipe instantly without having to use your hands to take out a recipe book, tablet or smartphone to look for it.

The Google Glass device takes form in a convenient and discrete pair of spectacles. The screen placed before the wearer's eyes allows one to view all Google functions as if you were using a traditional computer monitor. The project is similar to a smartphone, but is completely hands-free allowing one to continue with everyday living while using the internet.

The Google Glass Project began its prototype testing in April 2012 and it was in May 2012 Google Glass demonstrated the product to the public. There are various features that assist the wearer in using the glass including a touch pad discretely locate on the side of the Google Glass. This allows one to scroll through the results obtained.

According to Barbara Ortutay from the Daily Star, while Google Glass is very useful in day to day activities, it seems to be very disruptive and would need reliable apps and internet connections to point out the ups and downs of Google Glass Technology. So far the future of the Google Glass Project is uncertain and perhaps it just may need a little more time to integrate into day to day living.
