Method 1 - Article Marketing.
This is an age-old favorite traffic generation method of internet marketers. It's popularity has started to wane but it's still a valid and powerful way to get a constant flow of traffic if you know how to do it right.
The way I write my articles is to go to forums in my chosen niche and read the most popular posts and find out what questions people are asking and need help with. The actual question they ask is perfect for your article subject line and then you do some research and answer the question.
If you plan to do article marketing, it's a good idea to post regularly and several times a week for best results. Often, people who are new to writing articles only start with 1 or 2 and when they don't see great results they give up. The key with article marketing is to be persistent and continue to build up your database.
Soon you will have hundreds of articles and if each brings in a trickle of traffic it can add up to a substantial amount of traffic that will come to you over and over without any additional work.
Method 2 - Forum Posting.
This is another favorite amongst marketers. The idea here is to join the top forums in your chosen niche and join in on the active conversations by posting useful and content-rich posts and replies. You will find that most forums allow you to use a "signature" link at the bottom of all your posts.
A signature link is basically a small bio or advert that you're allowed to include with all your posts. You can use this space to get people to visit your website and squeeze pages. The idea is to make your signature line short and punchy because you only want to create enough interest so a reader who sees it clicks on the link.
Be careful not to just post a generic reply so you can get your signature link posted on a forum thread. This will draw attention of the moderators who could delete the post and maybe even ban your account. Make sure you always contribute and post good content or ask genuine questions.
